University Physicians Association is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) for UT URGENT CARE NORTHSHORE.
Job duties include but are not limited to: Assisting physicians with patient care, scheduling, prior authorizations and pre-certs, communicating test results, phlebotomy, and CLIA testing. The position also requires the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians and co-workers. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate. The position would also require the capability to perform the following clerical task if needed, greeting patients, ensure that patients complete necessary forms; maintain patient demographics and insurance information; verify insurance eligibility; collect copays; scheduling appointments; and document scanning. Must be comfortable with CLIA guidelines and maintaining/updating all OSHA manuals in all clinic locations.
The position will be full-time working 36-hours per week with 12-hour shifts from 9am to 9pm. Salary based on experience level.
Rotating Schedule:
WEEK ONE - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
WEEK TWO - Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Requirements
- Medical Assistant certificate, LPN license or RT license are required
- 1-year clinic experience preferred
