Course Description: 

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of strategic human resources management and the human resource planning process. Students will learn how to forecast, design, and develop human resource plans and requirements using both qualitative and quantitative techniques.

Qualifications:

Minimum: 

Intensive study of organizational behaviour/HRM/IO psychology at the graduate level with a strong academic record; previous teaching experience in a similar course at the University level or evidence of experience in teaching‐related activities aligned to course subject matter; experience in course development and class management at the University level; demonstrated teaching excellence, currency in and mastery of subject area.

 

Preferred:

In addition to the minimum, PhD in organizational behaviour/HRM/IO psychology; previous experience teaching this or a very similar course at the university level with consistent, strong course evaluations; related professional experience

 

Duties:

All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours, and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact, supervision of T.A. assigned to course.

 

Estimated TA Support (Hours):

Approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30
