What Makes This Role Special?

As a Kitchen Manager at Kido, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping a warm and caring atmosphere where children feel supported and nourished. Beyond serving meals, you’ll help children learn about healthy eating and provide a clean, safe environment that welcomes families and fosters their trust.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Kitchen: Lead the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring meals and snacks are prepared in line with health and safety standards while listening to the needs of our children and families.
Serve Healthy Snacks and Meals: Collaborate with external caterers and ensure that each meal is served on time and complemented with nutritious snacks.
Foster Learning at Meal Times: Actively participate in educating children about the food they eat, turning mealtime into a fun, learning experience.
Cleanliness and Hygiene: Lead the upkeep of the kitchen and common spaces, ensuring a clean, welcoming environment where children, staff, and families feel comfortable.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the school’s leadership and teaching staff, building strong relationships and offering support wherever needed, including occasionally helping in classrooms.
Create Welcoming Spaces: Ensure that our front-of-house areas are clutter-free, beautifully decorated, and ready to warmly welcome families every day.
