About the Role
The Amagi (SE) will be the customer's trusted advisor, identifying and solving challenges by applying Amagi products and services to meet the customer's needs.
The SE will be the interface between the customer and the product team leading product discussions, feature requests, and building proof of concept for customers. The SE will build and maintain product demos, technical presentations, and other technical collateral necessary in various stages of the sales cycle.
The SE will support the sales team in account planning and opportunity sales cycle by taking technical ownership of the opportunity and engaging product subject matter experts as necessary.
The SE will be responsible for all technical aspects of the pre-sales process. The SE is expected to use the breadth and depth of their technical knowledge in broadcast and streaming video monetization to lead customer conversations and identify opportunities using probing questions. The SE will prepare curated demos and customer-focused proofs of concept(POCs) with clearly defined success criteria and manage technical customer engagement for handoff to the onboarding team. The SE will prepare a technical statement of work (SOW) used by the sales team to highlight products and services utilized in the proposed solution. The SE will take technical ownership of the opportunity, engaging subject matter experts (SMEs), open issues, and report product feature requests during the entire pre-sales process. The SE will represent Amagi at trade shows and other forums as required to discuss and demonstrate the technical capabilities of Amagi products and services. Other job responsibilities include but are not limited to technical responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), authoring blog posts, and building training/ demo collateral for internal and external enablement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage pre-sales engagement across multiple customer opportunities and related projects with the ability to prioritize work and proactively escalate risks in consultation with the manager and sales teams.
- Maintain a single point of contact (SPOC) for responses to customers’ technical queries during the pre-sales process. Engage SMEs as required for customer conversations and architecture discussions.
- Responsible for gathering and updating customer requirements by participating in discovery calls with the customers. Respond to requests for proposal (RFPs).
- Build and deliver curated demos/ POCs based on customer requirements and clearly define success criteria.
- Create internal cases and anticipated product feature requests based on product gap analysis. Collaborate with the product development teams on feature prioritization.
- Attend calls for customer emergencies and with global internal teams during non-working hours if needed.
- Develop technical collateral, blog posts, and training materials highlighting Amagi’s products and features. Participate in trade shows and technical forums representing Amagi.
- Provide regular feedback to make the pre-sales engineering process more efficient and help improve the product and technical documentation.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
- 7+ years experience in media & entertainment technologies
- 5+ years of relevant experience in pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture focussed on broadcast engineering.
- Candidates with extensive broadcast engineering experience without vendor-side experience are welcome to apply.
- Desirable - professional certifications in public cloud technologies
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast engineering workflows, streaming media technologies, and ad monetization.
