We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surgery Technician to join our dynamic Oral Surgery team at Impact Oral Surgery. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, assisting surgeons, and maintaining a sterile environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual Spanish-speaking is a plus to help support our diverse patient base.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by arranging surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Verify the functionality and sterility of surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
Collaborate with the surgical team to review procedure-specific needs and protocols.
Pass instruments, supplies, and sterile items to surgeons during procedures.
Anticipate surgeon and surgical team needs to facilitate efficient workflow.
Operate and monitor surgical equipment as directed.
Assist with transferring patients to recovery areas.
Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and operating rooms post-surgery.
Restock supplies and prepare rooms for the next procedure.
Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including infection control standards.
Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and inventory.
Education and Certification:
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting (preferred).
Familiarity with various surgical specialties, including Oral Surgery (preferred).
Some dental background or knowledge is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred to assist with communication for Spanish-speaking patients.
