Senior Production & Logistics Manager (m/f/x)

The role

We are looking for a Senior Production & Logistics Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Operations. Above all, we are looking for people who will make HelloFresh better. What you’ll do

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and drive strategic development of the Production and Logistics management teams working with our 3PL partners and couriers
• Set and review performance targets, conduct assessments, and create development plans
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and strengthen the partnership between Hello Fresh and 3PL leadership as well as our couriers

Financial & Strategic Management

• Own full P&L responsibility for the production and logistics operations, managing budgets strategically
• Drive cost optimization initiatives in partnership with 3PL management while maintaining operational excellence
• Manage joint project portfolio to achieve corporate objectives in safety, customer service, productivity, and cost control
• Negotiate with and onboard new couriers, developing innovative solutions for operational challenges while prioritizing customer satisfaction and cost-effectiveness

Operational Excellence

• Partner with 3PL senior management to optimize key performance metrics including production efficiency, quality metrics, labor utilization, and standard production KPIs
• Drive end-to-end ownership of key initiatives to optimize last-mile transportation and carrier management
• Identify, analyze, and implement network improvement initiatives, balancing capacity, quality, speed, and cost while enhancing customer experience
• Generate and leverage actionable transportation metrics to drive continuous improvement, reduce error rates, and streamline operational processes

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure 3PL and couriers adherence to HelloFresh quality standards, hygiene protocols, and safety regulations
• Drive food safety compliance and establish monitoring frameworks across all production activities
• Collaborate proactively with Customer Care and our courier partners to resolve last-mile issues, manage order data, and improve service levels

What you’ll bring

• You bring 5+ years of professional experience in the site management and a proven track record of leadership in a large scale & high-performance production environment, ideally in the FMCG space, food, packaging, logistics, automotive or pharmaceutical industry 
• Experience in operations management, preferably in FMCG logistics, manufacturing, or e-commerce fulfillment, with a focus on managing shipping order flow with 3PLs
• You possess a deep knowledge of / background in lean and agile production, fulfillment, food manufacturing, safety & quality and are familiar with HACCP standards. Ideally you are also experienced with the IFS certification and the Six Sigma method 
• You demonstrate the ability to effectively motivate, develop and manage a team along with change at scale - culture and transformation are critical parts of our success, and you are directly responsible for driving both
• You work data-driven, structured and bring an highly analytical mindset as well as attention to detail
• You influence stakeholders with strong communication skills, which you adjust to different audiences (from top management to entry level), professionalism and conscientiousness. These skills enable you to gather input and drive alignment among a set of diverse stakeholders  in a complex and fast-paced environment
• You are highly customer-centric, work purposefully with all stakeholders to solve problems and always strive to meet or exceed their expectations
• English proficiency is a must
• Fluent Italian needed for 3PL management
