The Role:
As a Patient Services Officer supporting the Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (PTAS), you play a key role in helping Tasmanians access essential medical care—especially those living in rural and remote areas. By coordinating travel and accommodation logistics, you ensure patients can attend vital appointments that may not be available locally. Your work directly reduces barriers to healthcare, supports equity across the health system, and contributes to better health outcomes for individuals and communities across the state.
You will need:
- Strong administrative and customer service skills in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and empathy when supporting patients and families
- Ability to manage travel logistics and apply PTAS guidelines accurately

Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
