The Operations and Supply Chain organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team in a critical Senior Supplier Engineering remote role within our Radio Frequency (RF) commodity team as a Senior Supplier Engineer. You will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production implementation.

You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate and that the supplier technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability.

Within the RF group, you will support the following commodities: CCA/PWB/Flex, Antenna/Power/Networks, Cables/Harnesses/Integrated Assy/Electronic Components, RF, or Optics. (Experience in these specific commodities is desired, but not required.)

What You Will Do:

• Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers
• Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
• Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
• Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
• Manage non-conforming product
• Drive root cause and corrective action
• Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with and mentor teammates
• Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
• Support travel as needed. Minimum 25%

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years’ relevant experience such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, system engineering, manufacturing & quality systems, or technical supplier management.
• Experience in a cross-functional business involving multiple stakeholders (i.e.  buyers, engineers, suppliers, program managers, and/or shop floor leaders, etc.)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

• Master’s Degree in the following Majors: Business Administration, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
• Existing Secret Clearance
• Commodity experience related to RF as listed above
• Experience performing supplier assessments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
