Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Americas Immigration Programs is responsible for designing and implementing immigration programs and policies in the Americas region and bringing them to execution, through leveraging effective automation and partnership with third party vendors.

Especially for the U.S., the Senior Manager, Americas Immigration Programs provides guidance on hiring decisions, consulting and optimal solutions on Immigration requirements and fulfillment of compliance needs to BMS managers, P&O partners, employees and candidates.  

The role is responsible for maintaining compliant Immigration programs, implementing any respective regulatory changes in addition to ensuring movement throughout the process in a timely manner while utilizing the outside legal service provider.

This role will develop the best operational practices to improve our level of service and efficiency for our businesses and customers.

The Senior Manager, Americas Immigration Programs is further responsible for managing the day-to-day immigration operations, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations. This includes assessing and addressing BMS employee immigration needs, coordinating applications for work authorizations, renewals and de-registrations.

Detailed Position Responsibilities

Planning and Leadership:

  • Implement immigration strategies that align with business goals, ensuring compliance across the Americas region.

  • Identify and develop innovative ideas to enhance immigration programs effectiveness. and cost efficiency

  • Lead change management initiatives within the Immigration programs function, encouraging seamless transitions and adoption of new programs across the company.

  • Actively contribute to broader P&O policies and business strategies by aligning immigration experience with organizational objectives to enhance talent acquisition and retention

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

  • Provide oversight for timely renewal of contracts, rate negotiation, and vendor reviews.

  • Lead vendor management review meetings and provide feedback and input.

  • Manage the global budget for immigration administration systems.

  • Implement automated tools to manage contract reviews, vendor performance tracking, and renewal/reporting processes seamlessly across all regions.

  • Lead cost forecasting and optimization of the Americas Immigration budget, driving transparency and ROI measurements.

Operational Optimization

  • Champion adaptation of automation and workflow technologies, and actively participate in the establishment and execution of standardized processes across global Immigration programss.

  • Oversee the development and deployment of new features and functionality in the Immigration IT systems used, ensuring a customer centric user experience.

  • Lead the operationalization of Immigration initiatives that align with the company vision and priorities using the Product Base Operating Model (PBOM) methodology.

  • Collaborate with key business partners to identify Immigration programs design requirements aligned with new legal or policy changes.

  • Lead continuous process improvements, integrating automation to enhance scalability and service quality while reducing manual worklo
