As an Analyst in our Government & Public Services practice, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients. Accounting and Finance Analyst


This Analyst establishes and maintains financial policies, controls, and records in compliance with accounting principles and statutory requirements, ensuring accurate financial information and effective internal controls. You may also manage components of grant programs, including planning, budgeting, compliance monitoring, and leveraging firm technology assets for enhanced financial reporting and decision-making.

Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, technology, and transformation efforts to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. Professionals in the practice have opportunities to build specialized experience while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.


Qualifications


Required:


  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2027 or have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or an equivalent program
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment


Preferred:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or higher
  • Internship, project, or coursework experience in accounting or finance
