We work with customers on programs of all sizes—those spanning several smaller sites or spanning several thousand acres.  Besides building some of the nation’s largest utility-scale solar plants and installing more EV charging stations in California than any other contractor, we are dedicated to running a business that is environmentally responsible. ABOUT THE ROLEWe are a world-class electrical contractor seeking an Asset Manager for our Energy Division to lead all aspects of our asset management operations. This leadership role is responsible for the financial performance, lifecycle management, compliance, and operational efficiency of all Divisional assets. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in asset-intensive environments, strong analytical skills, and a track record of driving operational excellence across a complex, distributed organization. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a strong track record of building, mentoring, and managing distributed across multiple locations. This role requires a hands-on, strategic leader who can foster a high-performance culture, drive accountability, and develop scalable systems to support rapid growth and operational excellence. The Manager must demonstrate the ability to structure and align diverse field and back-office teams, build cross-functional collaboration, and effectively lead through change. 
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of Division assets including heavy equipment, tools, jobsite technology, and the like.
  • Lead Asset Management for a Division that is responsible for equipment, maintenance, tools, rentals, procurement, and logistics.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to drive utilization, uptime, cost control, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Manage asset-related budgets, capital planning, and forecasting in coordination with finance.
  • Ensure Division-wide compliance with DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and enforce Division-wide standards for asset use, maintenance, and safety.
  • Oversee deployment and adoption of technology platforms such as GPS tracking, telematics, and asset management software.
  • Partner with operations and construction leadership to align asset strategy with project needs.
  • Drive cost recovery initiatives through effective internal rental models and chargeback systems.
  • Collaborate with IT, Safety, and Finance to integrate systems and ensure end-to-end visibility.
  • Manage external equipment rental strategy, including vendor relationships, competitive rate negotiation, and fulfillment performance monitoring.
  • Act as a strategic partner to project teams, providing consultative support on asset planning, logistics, and jobsite needs.
  • Utilize analytics and performance dashboards to evaluate cost efficiency, identify underutilized assets, and inform capital planning decisions.
  • Develop multi-year asset and fleet strategies aligned with long-term company growth, project delivery requirements, and sustainability goals.
ABOUT YOU
  • Strong understanding of asset accounting principles, depreciation, and capital budgeting.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements including DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
