Compiles and analyzes data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare bid packages.</p> <p> </p> <p>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manages customer contract opportunities as purchasing agent by providing the team with the best market cost within a given timeline.</li> <li>Reviews drawings/specifications, QPL´s, historical ERP data and uses other tools in order to determine potential suppliers.</li> <li>Solicits bids and quotations from our supplier base</li> <li>Reviews and negotiates supplier bids, analyzes and evaluates bids to determine optimum value</li> <li>Interviews supplier representatives regarding costs and certain projects.</li> <li>Makes supplier quotes available to the team by entering/uploading it into our ERP system</li> <li>Attending kick-off meetings for new opportunities to represent purchasing and obtaining further information when required.</li> <li>Works closely with other departments (sales/contracts/quality)</li> <li>Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):</p> <ul> <li>Strong MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li> <li>Minimum of one year of experience using a Purchasing / Inventory Management System</li> <li>Minimum of one year of experience composing written business communication</li> <li>Fluency in German and English language, both written and verbally</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills</li> <li>Experience managing outside vendor relationships</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Must have the ability to take on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and achieve extraordinary results</li> <li>Strong negotiation skills</li> <li>Ability to multi-task</li> <li>Ability to logically analyze situations which involve complex computation</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of Aerospace parts</li> <li>SAP software experience </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Experience Level:</p> <p>Individual Contributor – </p> <p> </p> <p>Job Type:  Full-Time</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Boeing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
