About the Position: 

The Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) strives to increase access and retention for students with permanent and temporary disabilities by ensuring equitable treatment in all aspects of campus life. The program acts as a catalyst and agent for compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations mandating equal opportunity and access for people with disabilities. Our office provides co-curricular and academically related services which empower students with disabilities to achieve academic and personal self-determination. We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Evening Exam Professional (Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Testing and Associate Director of Operations, the Evening Exam Professional provides high level administrative and office coordination for all front operations, testing, and provides secondary support to the student accommodations team. Reports to Associate Director of Operation in DSS. High level of independent planning, and accountability for work results is required. The Evening Exam Professional is responsible for supporting all DSS testing responsibilities from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and the oversight of all evening proctoring from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A flexible schedule is required to alternate between day and night shifts depending on the operational needs of the office. The Evening Exam Professional coordinates assistive technology accommodations. Delegates and provides oversight to the work of student assistants, provides timely and appropriate responses to students and faculty who need testing support. Organizes evening exams by confirming, preparing exam folders, and ensuring accessible technology formats. Assists with next day exam folders. Responds and reaches out to faculty who reach out to DSS either in person, by phone, or by email. Troubleshoot technology issues during exams. Provide clear and concise exam instructions to students taking exams. Provides secondary support as a part of the Program Operations and Accommodations team that supports all program operations, student ADA exam accommodations, new student registration, and front office reception support, communication access, notetaking services, and ADA furniture accommodations.
