WPU Demand Planner

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage the organization’s multi-site production and capacity planning activities to ensure maximum operational efficiencies in thermoforming, injection molding, printing, and padding as required.
• Maintain customer service levels based on inventory targets.
• Identify constraints (capability, capacity, etc.) that may adversely affect long-term planning.
• Provide inventory management expertise in order to establish optimal inventory targets for both finished goods and raw materials within all aspects of supply chain.
• Review and validate inputs and data used as the basis for successful planning and scheduling.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust demand plans and production schedules as needed.

• Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
• Working closely with Product Management and Sales, propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
• Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

• Facilitate utilization of MRP/ERP system functionality relative to planning and inventory management capabilities.
• Backup purchasing function to ensure adequate materials are available as required.

• Ensure all employees follow company GMP, sanitation, quality prerequisite programs, chemical control and food safety plans and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• In the incumbent’s absence these job duties will be transferred to the Supply Chain Manager.

Special Qualifications:

• Must be trained in and follow company policies on GMP, sanitation, pre-requisite programs, chemical control and food plans and policies.
• Must be competent to carry out food packaging safety and quality responsibilities.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant fields.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures desirable.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office and MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
