PNC has an opening for an attorney on its Retail Payments Team, supporting various Retail lines of business, including the Debit Card, Consumer and Small Business Credit Card and Gift/Prepaid Card lines of business, as well as providing enterprise-wide legal support on FCRA and ECOA related matters.
The lawyer selected for this role will take the lead in providing legal guidance to Retail and certain Commercial lines of business on FCRA and certain ECOA related matters. In addition, the lawyer selected will provide legal advice and guidance to facilitate various aspects of electronic payments. This lawyer will interact with other lawyers in the department and outside counsel and will counsel clients on legally complex matters. The lawyer will report to the Managing Chief Counsel, Retail Payments.
Education, Training and Experience:
• JD from an accredited law school/good standing status in a state bar.
• Demonstrated strong judgment, analytical ability, and communication skills
• Preference will be given to applicants with at least three years of experience in some or all of the following: Fair Credit Report Act (FCRA) and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), credit, debit, gift/prepaid and other electronic payment products and transactions and their related legal and regulatory schemes (e.g., TILA, GLBA, Reg. CC, EFTA), card and payment association network rules and operations, and contract matters.
Job Description
- Identifies and manages legal risk for the organization.
- Conducts research, provides substantive and procedural legal advice, and participates in significant legal matters.
- Manages outside counsel relationships and expense.
- Reviews and prepares transactional and other legal documentation.
