Overview

This role will work within a technical team to accelerate the outcomes of the data organization by driving programs which enhance the customer journey. This role will partner closely with product managers, engineering managers, engineers, and other technical program managers to execute complex technical programs. You will help to drive large data initiatives in order to advance the data ecosystem and deliver critical business outcomes. You will have a direct impact on the core technologies powering the data insights organization. You will leverage end to end data strategies to unlock the power of data to deliver amazing customer benefits. This role is hybrid and based in Denver, CO. All qualified candidates MUST live in the Denver Metro area and be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship or C2C.

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive creation of data program roadmaps and data execution plans for complex, cross-organizational teams across all phases of planning, development, and production readiness and launch.
• Influence decisions by connecting strategy, priorities, and business/technical outcomes
• Lead execution in partnership across multiple functions including Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, as well as, with central data teams to align and deliver successful outcomes
• Facilitate all internal and external resources and cross functional teams in a collaborative manner.
• Identify program requirements and build program aspects including initial concept scope, resource allocation, budget considerations and all program analysis.
• Ensure continued alignment of program scope, status, risks, and dependencies through effective communication across the organization and at all levels.
• Quickly and effectively identify critical issues and dependencies that need action and personally drive them through to closure. Balance business needs and technical constraints in resolving issues.
• Anticipate, recognize, and work through resistance or setbacks independently, work well with others when conflicts arise: see opportunities, ensure alignment with objectives, find common ground and promote understanding of alternative viewpoints before driving for closure and cooperation
• Effectively communicate program progress appropriately to varying levels of stakeholders across organizational boundaries, including senior leadership, with little guidance needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

Candidates must have strong practical experience in program management gained through large programs and product initiatives in complex environments. Candidates must have the following:

• 7+ years of experience in technical program/product/engineering management for large-scale business intelligence systems and/or complex software development initiatives.
• SaaS experience / cloud native applications / backend data experience
• Ability to influence at all levels and build strong partnerships across organizations in order to deliver the best outcome of complex programs.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication skills appropriate for executive-level audiences; ability to structure and communicate goals of program, relationship to business goals, and other relevant success criteria
• Demonstrated ability to simultaneously understand and communicate the bigger picture while diving in to understand issues & risks to drive rapid resolution.

• Extensive knowledge of project and program management methodology, tools and techniques.
• Must have a sense of urgency to accomplish tasks and facilitate desired outcomes.
• The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
• Ability to think analytically and process information quickly, presenting it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives.

Qualifications/Technical Skill Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years experience in technical program/product/engineering management for large-scale business intelligence systems and/or complex software development initiatives
