Raytheon is seeking a high-performing HR professional to fill a Principal Specialist, HR Partner role supporting the Software Engineering Organization.  In this dynamic and fast-paced role you will partner and collaborate with other HR leaders and business leaders to understand the business strategies and objectives while proactively applying HR solutions consistent with the Human Resources vision and mission. 

This is an onsite position in Richardson, Texas.

What You Will Do

The Principal Specialist, HR Partner will collaborate with the business on topics including performance management, talent development and acquisition, compensation, and employee relations. Additionally, this position will provide support in the implementation of HR initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, and employee engagement. The ability to execute deliverables, exercise sound judgment, and work collaboratively on multiple priorities is critical in this role.

  • Model Employee Advocacy behavior and serve as a trusted advisor to front, mid-level and senior leaders and employees
  • Demonstrate an understating of how HR can support business growth and performance
  • Implement HR strategies into operational plans and actionable steps
  • Collaborate amongst other HR organizations such as Employee Relations (ER), Total Rewards and Talent Development (TD) to achieve business and talent objectives
  • Model consistent application of Raytheon HR policies to mitigate risk and ensure equitable solutions
  • Support Talent Management strategies to include workforce planning, succession planning, knowledge transfer and high-potential development
  • Communicate and implement proactive strategies pertaining to employee relations, training, leadership development, employee communications in support of strategic objectives
  • Investigate and resolve Employee Relations issues and complaints and Ethics-related case investigations 
  • Contribute to fostering a positive employee relations environment and culture

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience guiding leaders on employee performance or employee relations matters
  • Experience with Federal and State employment laws and their application in workplace practices and compliance
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple HR functional disciplines to develop solutions
  • Experience in handling employee relations issues and partnering with Employee Relations/Labor Relations when necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to include presenting information to stakeholders
  • Experience supporting and leading HR related programs such as Compensation, Performance Management, and Succession Planning
  • Experience coaching managers on employee performance, talent development, and/or employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
