The Senior Residential Home Manager has the responsibility of monitoring the treatment plans of individuals served, supervising and managing direct care staff in a home that serves 4 or more Individuals. They are expected to be on shift outside of the staffing pattern for 50% of the scheduled hours to provide additional support and supervision to the individuals being served and the staff. This includes at least an hour overlap with every program staff member weekly and one weekend day every month. If there are shifts open in the home, the manager will be included in the staffing pattern for the home to reduce overtime when possible. The remaining time will be dedicated to managing administrative and programmatic tasks.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Comply with Code of Ethics and demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment
- Maintain the certification/operational activities of the adult residential homes
- Maintain the program's budget and oversee the fiscal resources assigned to the residential homes
- Maintain the health of the individuals through medication administration, attend medical appointments, safety training, and positive behavioral supports
- Monitor the compliance of the adult residential programs with quality assurance systems consistent with the agency's policies and philosophy of service
- Communicate with family members, QDDP, BCBAs, and other members of the treatment team, responsible for the care of the individuals in the home.
- Complete individual-related paperwork, grocery shopping, order necessary supplies and place work orders as appropriate.
- Complete GERs for incident reporting
- Supervise and manage the staff of the adult residential programs to include employee relations, consistent with the agency's policies and practices
- Work with human resources to recruit and retain qualified talent for the adult residential homes
- Responsible for developing direct staff to meet and exceed competency-based training and other required training
- Participate in a formal Performance Management process with direct reports
- Conduct special project/assignments; attends meetings and fulfills professional development as appropriate

- Provide leadership and guidance to other leaders and staff in goal setting, problem solving, resource management, and outcome achievement.
- Defines performance objectives and metrics for the department and assesses staff competence promptly.
- Ability to collaborate with other departments to create systems and problem-solve ongoing issues that impact departmental/organizational goals and/or patient care delivery.
- Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy work environment by modeling the desired behaviors and encouraging those in others.
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate the agency’s mission, vision, values, and departmental goals to all staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
- Valid Alabama driver's license and must be insurable through the agency’s insurance carrier
