Role Overview 

The Financial Analyst (or Senior Financial Planning Analyst) will be responsible for applying their functional knowledge of financial principles to partner with the leadership team for DGUSA wholesale divisions, while working to create and optimize practices and processes. This role will be responsible for areas such as forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, while directly assisting in cost analysis, inventory management and reviewing operational performance. DGUSA generates $500m+ in revenue across retail, e-commerce, wholesale and licenses. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Verify accuracy of sales forecast each month for wholesale divisions
  • Compare actual financial results against previously month’s forecast and budget, and explain variances
  • Create monthly and quarterly Financial projection reports with sales, margin and expense analysis for Delta’s senior management
  • Partner with division heads to review past month’s performance and discuss future forecast in monthly conference calls
  • Create annual budgets for the divisions, including preparation of board presentations
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory planning and forecasting, including calculating required reserve
  • Review dilutions and accounts receivable aging for the responsible divisions
  • Review all chargeback documentation for approval before write-off
  • Track monthly sales forecast to actual shipments
  • Provide information for financial and internal control audits as needed
  • Perform various special projects when required from Delta Israel and DGUSA finance teams 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years related experience, preferably in retail/wholesale and inventory planning for Analyst level
  • Minimum 5 years related experience, preferably in retail/wholesale and inventory planning for Senior Analyst level
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks 
  • System implementation and integration experience (Tagetik preferred) 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail 
  • Familiarity with sales and inventory costing, journal entries and general ledger analysis 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  • Movex experience preferred 
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate in a matrix environment 
  • Team player and problem solver in a demanding deadline driven environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Calculated risk taker 
  • This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NJ office
