Responsibilities:

• Required to adhere to all company policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service, environmental principles and objectives are achieved.
• Ensure adherence to quality systems ISO 9001, 5S; follow OSHA and EPA guidelines.
• Follow written production operating instructions and formulations.
• Coordinate the production of finished products while ensuring final process criteria has been achieved.
• Accurately record process information to include raw materials, packaging, labels, and finished products.
• Operate manufacturing equipment and ensure preventive maintenance criteria and schedule are achieved.
• Accurately interpret instruments and recordings of data to allow for proper process adjustments.
• Follow all Lab processes and procedures related to the testing and recording of test results.
• Clean and respond to chemical spills safely, using appropriate safety equipment. Although spills are rare at SurTec, the ability to respond safely and appropriately is critical to the role.
• Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business needs.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of work experience in an industrial environment.
• 2+ years of work experience in the chemical industry, preferred.
• Familiar with chemical terminology, preferred.
• Forklift experience or operator’s license, preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP Systems, ISO 9000, and 5s preferred.
