The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leverage expertise to develop and advance technologies that can be used for new product commercialization opportunities.
• Protect Solventum intellectual property through the filing of new patent applications, publish in top-tier journals, and present at appropriate conferences.
• Lead the technical design effort working with a project manager through the development and commercialization process contributing to the project schedule for design and technical aspects of the project and providing input as a member of the technical team.
• Support projects by integrating all aspects of design work from new product development partners and both internal and external Solventum suppliers.
• Ensure that technical output of assigned projects meets requirements.
• Interact with Solventum customers to foster an innovative and interactive dialog about Solventum products.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher AND seven (7) years of experience in product development in regulated design environments in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master’s or higher degree in the Engineering disciplines from an accredited institution
• Experience in using SolidWorks
• Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
• Project management training and experience
• Medical device design and development experience
• Experience in Nautilus Enovia
• Experience in manufacturing processes for commercial products

Work location: Hybrid - San Antonio, TX

Travel: May include up to 15%(domestic/international)
