Project Manager, Life Science, Digital Technologies & Consumer Goods, Östergötland / Linköping area

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our industry team Life Science, Digital Technologies & Consumer Goods - focusing on global growth of Swedish companies and attracting foreign investments to Sweden. The role is initially a fixed-term employment for a year, with start in January 2026.

Business Sweden help Swedish companies grow global sales and international companies invest and expand in Sweden.

As a Project Manager you will be working in a challenging and stimulating environment supporting our clients in their international business development. You will work independently as well as in teams, in different projects and assignments. Tasks include advising Swedish SMEs in their internationalizatin journey, identifying new business opportunities, driving sales, stakeholder analysis and management, arranging business meetings and developing networks.

The role includes both strategic and operational responsibilities such as:

• Support small and medium sized companies in their internationalization, as well as international investors towards Sweden

• Proactively prospect and reach out to relevant companies ready for internationalization.

• Independently coach and strategically advise Swedish SME companies to make them ready to grow internationally

• Carry out market and industry analyses and other client deliverables

• Drive business development and sales of Business Sweden’s full service offering

• Work with international teams to deliver projects that support our promotional activities and clients in their international business development

• Manage and drive own workflows and take on project manager roles in projects

• Break down own work into process steps, prioritize correctly and deliver results on assigned KPIs

• Support the team in strategic business development projects and in the improvement of internal processes and tools

Your manager is Head of Life Science, Digital Technologies & Consumer Goods. You will work closely with colleagues, both in the team and in projects over the whole organization globally at Business Sweden. You will also have contact with many external stakeholders and represent Business Sweden in various types of collaboration projects and networks. The position will be based in Östergötland / Linköping or surrounding area and is initially a fixed-term employment for a year, with preferred start in January 2026.

Formal requirements

• A higher academic degree (Master of Science or equivalent)

• At least 5 years’ relevant experience of management consulting, business development, international business, or global expansion/sales

• Proven project management skills and experience.

• Experience from Business development and Sales

• Experience of working with market analysis and research

• Experience of working with development of digital tools or data analytics

• Great relationship-builder and team-working skills in networks internally and externally

• Experienced user in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• It is meriting if you have experience from working outside of Sweden and from working with international companies and global projects

• Strong competence and experience from one of the focused industries is positive – Life Science, Digital Tech/ICT or Consumer goods Industry – to be a trustworthy adviser to companies and stakeholders.

• Knowledge and insight into the development of SMEs (understand driving forces, incl. financials, of companies to be able to advice on internationalization/ global business opportunities)

• A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English is a requirement, a high level of proficiency in written and spoken Swedish is meriting
