About the role

Techno is seeking a Business Development Senior Associate to join our corporate team in our Princeton, New Jersey Office. In this role, you will play a key role in driving our expansion and market presence. Leveraging your expertise in business development, relationship building, and strategic planning, you will identify and secure new opportunities in collaboration with public and private sector entities as we look to further expand our footprint in the Greater Philadelphia region.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand civil engineering services across the Philadelphia area.
• Identify and track new project opportunities, including public sector RFPs/RFQs and private development pursuits.
• Build and maintain relationships with public agencies, developers, consultants, and contractors.
• Lead or support proposal development efforts, including teaming, content coordination, and executive summaries.
• Represent the firm at networking events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
• Work closely with internal technical teams and leadership to align market needs with service offerings.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, pursuits, and outcomes using CRM and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (Civil Engineering background strongly preferred) from an accredited college or university.
• 7–10+ years of business development experience within the A/E/C industry, specifically in civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Proven track record of securing work with public agencies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Princeton, NJ and travel frequently throughout the Philadelphia region.
