Cargotec Group Finance is strengthening the organization due to the possible separation of Kalmar and Hiab and is hiring a senior business controller to be part of this journey. Cargotec is looking for a Senior Business Controller who will partner with Group Function leaders especially in financial performance management topics and secure robust financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes in the functions. In this position you will develop financial processes in your own responsibility area and join Cargotec wide development projects as needed.
 
The preferred location for this position is Helsinki, Finland.
 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

• Drives financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes in the Group functions (IM, Finance, HR, Legal, Communications and Central Costs)
• Leading a small team of business controllers
• Supports Group Function management in effectiveness and process improvements
• Secures effective allocation/recharging process for the Group Functions according to global principles, including communications to internal customers and business stakeholders
• Analyzes monthly cost center performance, interprets results and prepares commentary together with the team
• Ensures financial risk management / compliance matters are considered in Group Functions
• Participates in various development projects and analysis as required, e.g. M&A and integration, Cargotec policy development, accounting/reporting process development

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Education:

• Master’s level degree in business, economics or other relevant field of study    

 

Experience:

• 8+ years of relevant relevant experience in business controlling or financial reporting roles
• Proven track record on developing financial reporting processes and building strong relationships with stakeholders in business operations

 

Competencies:

• Strong analytical capabilities
• Strong leadership skills
• Structured way of working
• Savvy with IT tools (Google / MSOffice / SAP / HFM applications)
• Good influencing and communication skills
• Aspiration for development
• Hands-on and pragmatic
• Ability to drive and execute change with good leadership and change management skills
• Fluent English, both written and oral
