$189,000.00 - $351,000.00

At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.

The Sr. Director of PLM will be a business leader responsible for business ownership for the multi-year business plan of an industry-leading DWDM coherent optics.  Business Ownership includes the definition of revenue / profitably plans, go-to-market plans, sales team enablement for business development, customer interaction, and cost  / technology strategy.  He/She is responsible to establish strong-working relationships with sales, R&D, supply chain, lead customers, and Infinera’s executive leadership team.

 A successful PLM leader must be adaptable to solve a variety of business problems to maximize profitability and market share growth.   Infinera’s coherent transceiver product line includes multiple elements including 400G transceivers, 800G Transceivers, and sub-components integrated into system sleds.




Education & Experience Necessary For Success:

  • 10 or more years of experience as a Product Manager, System Architect of similar technology position in the optical communication industry
  • Experience in customer interaction
  • Experience in the optical transceiver product companies is desired.
  • Ability to address problems and topics outside of direct experience, abstract and understand and communicate content, natural problem solver
  • Ability to work independent and self-organized
  • Ability to work in a distributed team and in international environment
  • Ability to work flexible and deviate from initial plans, outcome focused
  • Ability to contribute to and shape business with fundamentally new technology / architecture
  • Strong presentation skills (including management and customer presentations, conference talks and plenum discussions)
  • requiresires extensive Travel
  • Define multi-year business plan and underlying assumption
  • Deliver annual commitments on profit / loss metrics, including establishing new customer wins
  • Align with Infinera’s optical businesses on future roadmap and technology evolution
  • Define technology requirements for Infinera’s vertical integrated optical components
  • Interacts with all key stake holders in R&D, supply chain, and sales
  • Interacts with lead customers
  • Identifies and defines applications with highest value, including support of RFP process
  • Enables and supports Infinera sales and during market introduction phase
  • Develop and deliver marketing materials and pricing strategies to promote the value proposition and maximize the profitability of the product platform
  • Coordinate across PLM organization to define and execute customer focused solutions
  • Evaluates return-of-invest scenarios and business cases
  • Evaluates Competitor benchmarks and Infinera Solution values versus the benchmarks
