Peer Recovery Specialist - SUD Program (67795)

Pay Rate: $25.00 / hour

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.   We are currently seeking a Full-time Substance Use Disorder Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team at Maryland Correctional Training Center - Hagerstown (MCTC) located in Hagerstown, Maryland. 

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) employees support patients in their substance use and detoxification/ recovery process.  They also lead recovery groups, build community and relationships.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) required
• One year or more of experience working closely with patients and connecting them to resources or an equivalent combination of work and education
• Experience working in corrections preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
