Purpose and Objective: 

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Business Processes Senior Consultant at our Pittsburgh, PA location to drive business consulting by translating the customer’s financial and managerial accounting vision into solutions.

 

Expectations and Tasks:

Map financial and accounting business processes to solution requirements. Support the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. Drive change management to achieve business transformation objectives. Support end-to-end solution design and configuration across all relevant solutions (on-premise, cloud, and hybrid), applying state-of-the-art methodologies and standards. Participate in transition planning of customer solution landscapes. Drive deployment of best practice business processes for specific LoBs or industries. Support pre-sales activities. Perform solution reviews and feasibility studies. Support escalated projects. Occasionally take over responsibility as a (sub-) project lead or team lead for a service delivery. Supports line Manager(s) in people development tasks. Deliver customer workshops and trainings. Support in partner-led projects to ensure ecosystem and customer success. Introduce SAP and industry leading practices based on pre-existing templates, standard content and experience. Create project documentation and documentation of delivered services. Support the evolution of the relevant section of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas. Support in solution testing and issue resolution. Mentor business process consultants.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

 

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 4 years in the following:

•  S/4 HANA Central Finance (cFIN), FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling), FI-RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting), and FICA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable);
• Requirement gathering, system design, implementation, execute unit, functional regression, system and integration test plans, Go Live, and hypercare of HANA, SQL, and Oracle databases;
• Data Migration Tools including Master Data Governance and Application Interface Network;
• Testing Tools including Application Lifecycle Management and Load Runner;
• Period-end and financial year closing activities using S/4 Hana closing tools including Financial Closing Cockpit and Advance Financial Closing; and
• ServiceNow, JIRA, and Agile Methodologies.

 

Position requires up to 40% domestic travel to various and unanticipated client sites.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $106,434 - $144,670. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $106,434 - $173,600.
