Who we are looking for
As our Jordan Sports Marketing Field Rep Basketball & Women’s, you'll directly manage Jordan Brand’s relationships with the best basketball players in the world. You'll serve the top tier basketball athletes by developing deep, influential relationships and ensure that product, service, marketing and contract fulfillment are met. You'll work with the Sr Director Sports Marketing, Basketball & Women’s to identify the right assets for Jordan Brand, create recruitment/negotiation strategies and present the annual draft strategy to senior management. In addition, you’ll lead in the execution of marketing/utilization plans of leading athletes, work with the Team/Player Marketing Manager to create plans for each player and ensure execution, manage operational/process components and understand total resource allocation including forecast spending and budget ownership. You will build and manage external relationships with WNBA, NBA teams, agents, managers and publicists. You will also work closely with Nike Basketball to expand Jordan Brand grassroots basketball infrastructure and relationships. You will travel the world and work on some of the big basketball moments, including WNBA/NBA All-Star Weekend, EYBL Boys and Girls, Olympics/FIBA, Jordan Brand Classic and more.
What you will work on
- Cultivate and maintain significant relationships and networks with athletes, agents, teams, and other industry strategic partners within the Jordan Basketball community, as well as Jordan Sports Marketing, Brand, and Business teams cross functionally.
- Lead the strategy and planning for the Jordan Brand EYBL programs across men’s and women.
- Implement the budget with accountability for Jordan WNBA All-Star.
- Partner with the footwear and business leads to ensure product needs are being met for all our basketball athletes across women’s and men’s.
- Support the overall basketball strategy by managing the day-to-day relationships with players, agents, coaches and helping to identify the next up talent.
Who you will work with
You will report to the Sr Director Sports Marketing, Basketball & Women’s, and work alongside the broader Basketball Sports Marketing team, and partner closely with various Sports Marketing leaders. Additionally, you will work with Jordan Brand Product Innovation, Marketplace, and Product Merchandising teams to ensure Sports Marketing efforts are in service of brand and business objectives. Externally we work with athletes, agents, team personnel, program directors, coaches and event management partners among others.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Sport/Fitness or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' work experience in athlete service, marketing, representation or operations
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
- Strong relationships in basketball world
