Lead Maintenance Tech - Stationary EngineerJob Description
Performs activities related to mechanical systems repairs, projects and scheduling and in accordance with hospital, JCAHO and other regulatory standards. Reports to Facilities Supervisor directly and contributes to departmental meetings and operation as needed. Performs in- house maintenance on chillers, boilers and related pumps. Coordinates schedule for engineers to insure coverage for operation of boilers 24 hours. May be consulted off hours in the event of an emergency as the situation permits. Plays a role in facility systems training.
Ensures all hospital buildings, properties, and equipment is maintained in a highly satisfactory manner. Adheres to policies and procedures relative to JCAHO, State, and other regulatory agency requirements.. Evaluates ability of equipment to meet specific needs; recommending necessary improvements or possible solutions that comply with safety, functional, or economical requirements. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
High School Diploma Additional Training Requirements High School diploma or general education degree (GED); five years experience and/or training in mechanical systems (Boiler/Chiller operation)
