This position oversees day to day operations within the Environmental Services and Patient Transport department. This position is responsible for room inspections, coordinating floor care program, payroll, and coaching and counseling. This position will also be performing various other tasks to aide the other departments that make up Hospitality Services. Works cooperatively within department and other services to create a system of quality health care.
Hours: 40 hours per week - Evening/Night Shift
Mon- Friday 5:30pm- 1:30am shifts
Every other Saturday & Sunday 3pm-11:30pm shifts
Rotating (every other) Weekend and Holidays shifts required
Peer shift coverage required
Location: Lowell General Hospital- Main Campus
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Three (3) years of related experience in a hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bilingual.

1. Conducts room inspections on a daily basis.
2. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication.
3. Follows IVR phone system when taking requests from SRC.
4. Coordinates floor and carpet care schedules and follows up with appropriate documentation.
5. Reviews are done in a timely manner.
6. Maintains composure and professionalism during difficult situations.
7. Demonstrates an appreciation of cost factors in routine performance of duties, Maximizes cost efficiency.
8. Coordinates furniture moves and meeting set-ups in a timely and accurate manner.
9. Inventory is kept current and communicated to manager when supplies are needed.
10. Ensures Payroll and work schedules are completed weekly and with accuracy.
Physical Requirements:
1. Standing, walking, bending, and stretching majority of shift.
2. Ability to push heavy loaded carts and lift between 30-60 lbs.
3. Occasional climbing of ladders.
4. Frequent exposure to dirt, dust, blood, body waste, and contaminated waste. Exposure to climate conditions when depositing trash in compactor.
5. Possibility of cuts and needle punctures.
6. Occasional exposure to hazards which may cause serious injury/illness (T.B., hepatitis, rodent bites). When working in non-patient areas, those hazards are minimal.
7. Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate prescription medications and computer keyboard.
