Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Interior Architecture Senior Project Manager for our New York City, NY office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Plans, directs, and leads technical staff in successful execution of projects in design and construction
  • Acts as primary point of contact with client and manage the relationship with all stakeholders
  • Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects
  • Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects
  • Manages projects on a local, regional, or national basis achieving quality outcomes, positive financial performance, and client satisfaction
  • Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, leads project teams and executes projects
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop and monitor a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Identify new business opportunities and support marketing efforts

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design plus eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience with Architecture or Interior Design multidisciplinary teams on project deliverables and business development is strongly preferred
  • Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated team-building ability and internal/ external networking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverables and deadline requirements
  • Internally driven, self-starter, team orientated
  • Experience working on tenant improvement projects of various sizes and complexity
  • Professional Registration in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP)

Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $210,000.
