Job Description

The PLT Plant 1 Curing Scrap Chaser will:

Monitor all non conformities throughout the department and make adjustments as needed.  Stay in communication with the Tire room of any non conforming materials that will need quarantined.   Monitor and follow up with uniformity topics as needed and communicate back any adjustments that were performed.  Monitor and Follow-up with Flash Audits and communicate back any adjustments that were performed.

1. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser must be able to make mold and bladder changes, install recipes, build and tear down bladders, and maintain data input.
2. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser must be able to make minor mechanical adjustments and emergency repairs, perform loader quick checks, squeeze audits, cure cycle audits, and cure temperature audits.
3. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser will follow all plant policies, environmental policies and plant and departmental safety policies. Must be certified to operate a Fork Life through the Safety Department.
4. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser must be able to effectively communicate with other set up techs, curing supervision, curing press operators, supplying departments, quality assurance, process engineering, and final finish.
5. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser will follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, and keeping work areas neat, clean, and aligned and orderly.
6. Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Curing Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, or Department Manager.
7. Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.
• No relocation assistance is offered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing experience or Associates Degree

Environment

• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes. 
• New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends. 
• The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.
• The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

The starting annual salary for this role is $63,038 a year.
