Summary of Job Duties:
CRNAs at the Urology Center operate under the supervision practice model and provide care for a variety of cases including cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, circumcisions, vasectomies, TURPs, and penile implants, no open or laparoscopic cases. Typical IR cases include I-port placements, solid organ biopsies, G-tube placement/exchanges, AV fistulas, uterine artery ablations, etc.
Qualifications:
Sign-on and CRNA referral bonuses are available.
CRNA must be licensed by the State of Arkansas as an RN and APRN and be certified by the Council on Certification/Recertification of the AANA.
Master’s degree or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia by date of hire
Current CRNA license by date of hire
Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists by date of hire (proof of these requirements may be requested at any time).
Additional Information:
Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by their clinical privileges and may include:
• Perform and document the pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation of the patient.
• Review, request, and order (as permitted by state law), laboratory/diagnostic studies.
• Obtain informed consent for anesthesia and related services.
• Select, obtain, order, and administer preanesthetic medication or treatment.
