About the role

Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Director of the Value Institute, the Manager, Pathway Implementation will oversee deployment, implementation, and optimization of Clinical Pathways across the MUSC Health system. Under minimal supervision, they will collaborate with Population Health, clinical experts, leadership, educators, and communications teams to ensure successful Pathway implementation from start to end. The Manager, Pathway Implementation will execute awareness and education campaigns as well as solicit pointed feedback to incorporate Continuous Quality Improvement into the MUSC Health Pathways program to promote population health management and value-based care. The Manager, Pathway Implementation will manage the Data Analyst(s) within the Pathways program and distribute utilization reports to stakeholders and leaders in support of OneMUSC goals.

Job Description

  • Ensuring sustainability of pathways by identifying and collaborating with clinical and quality leaders to ensure pathways are utilized, clinically relevant and evidence-based, and care team members are educated.
  • Leading optimization calls for newly released Pathways to include, meeting attendees and cadence, and collaborating with the Project Manager, Pathway Development & Integration to ensure plans of action for feedback and next steps.
  • Communication planning and implementation for the MUSC Health Pathways program, including both Ideal Care Plan (hospital guidelines) and prioritized requests.
  • Leading continuous improvement efforts of the MUSC Health Pathway program including soliciting feedback from clinical leaders and front-line staff, reviewing opportunities for improvement with clinical and quality leaders, and implementing feedback as appropriate in conjunction with the Project Manager, Pathway Development & Integration.
  • Identifying areas of opportunity and collaborating with management and leadership to perform Epic demos and training presentations systemwide to promote Pathway use.
  • Leading process and impact evaluation efforts for the MUSC Health Pathways program in conjunction with Population Health and System Finance.
  • Managing the day-to-day work of Data Analyst(s) within the MUSC Health Pathways program.
  • Dissemination of Pathway reporting to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree required (i.e., MHA, MPH, MBA).
  • 5-8 years project management experience required. 
  • 2-4 years of experience implementing electronic medical record-related tools required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Proficiency in data visualization with graphs, infographics, and other methods required.
  • Proficiency in data management and preparation required.
