Shifts: 

1st shift (7:50am – 3:50pm)

• Monday – Friday and every 3rd weekend
• 1st shift opportunity is based on availability, technical knowledge, and experience.
• Overtime based on workload needs but not guaranteed.

 

2nd shift (2:30pm – 12:30am) or 3rd shift (12am – 10am)

• Tuesday – Friday and every 3rd weekend.
• Training is mostly done on day shift, M-F.
• Overtime based on workload needs but not guaranteed.

What Will Be Your Environment: 

The Wickliffe testing facility is part of our Global Headquarters campus, just outside of Cleveland, OH.  We are a team of almost 100 people in Mechanical Testing, including about 40 Technicians and Supervisors.  You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. 

 

What You'll Do:  

The Mechanical Testing Department for The Lubrizol Corporation supports the development and testing of current and future advanced mobility needs for the lubricant industry and beyond.

 A team member is responsible for the operation of a variety of tests in Mechanical Testing including, but not limited to, gasoline engines, heavy duty diesel engines, axles, and transmissions.

 

 What We're Looking For: 

• Mechanically inclined individuals with a passion for working on and testing engines, components, and related equipment.
• Operate and perform daily work in a safe manner.
• Control and troubleshoot problems related to the automotive and mechanical test laboratory equipment and test stands.  
• Perform mechanical and maintenance functions on test stands and associated equipment.
• Communicate testing related issues to the appropriate engineer, facilitator, or support group.
• Stay current on lab utilities that support your test area.
• Maintain housekeeping in test and common spaces.
• Be an active participant in completing shift rounds.
• Complete training needed to develop technical and interpersonal skills.
• Cross train in other areas of Mechanical Testing for personal growth and support of future testing needs.
• Support all Lubrizol and department initiatives around Safety, Environmental, ISO, ERT and career development.
