POSITION TITLE:  Expeditor 

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt  

POSITION REPORTS TO: General Manager  

DEPARTMENT:                                Dining Division  

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

An Expeditor is responsible for ensuring that meals are served to our guests in a timely manner, while maintaining plating and presentation standards that are set by the brand and the company. This role also servers as a liaison between cooks, wait staff and our guests. Whether working in an on-trend national brand, or an iconic concept from the local community, you will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a professional company image by adhering to all grooming and uniform guidelines, including slip resistant shoes. 
  • Proficient operation of POS and KDS systems. 
  • Effectively communicate with associates in the kitchen and in the front of the house to regulate workflow. 
  • Ensure orders are being prepared with correct priority.  
  • Assist in the final preparation of dishes, ensuring proper plate presentation and performing final check to ensure guest requested modifications have been made. 
  • Review dishes for accuracy, presentation and temperature. 
  • Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing. 
  • Support Hosts, Servers, Bartenders, and Back of House when needed. 
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines,complying with all local, state, and federal laws. 
  • Effectively execute quick service standards. 
  • Engages with guests in a friendly and professional manner. 
  • Responds appropriately to customer concerns. 
  • Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment 
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized environment that is free of both occupational and food safety hazards. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.  

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:  

  • High School diploma or GED   
  • Food and Beverage experience is preferred but not required.  
  • Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment. 
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members  
  • Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers.  
  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent. 
  • TIPS Certification, or equivalent. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment. 
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively in English.  
  • Self motivated with leadership and organizational skills. 
  • Positive interpersonal skills. 
  • Self-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneously. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.  
  • Proficiency required in read
