Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a
detailed, organized and motivated individual to perform full administrative and secretarial
functions of a confidential nature for the Complex Warden. This position is responsible for
daily communications, meetings, filing, organizing, updating policies, report writing and
coordinating special events at the Arizona State Prison Complex – PERRYVILLE. Apply now!

Job Duties:

- Composes correspondence and uses computer equipment in the completion of job
assignments
- Compiles and prepares weekly and monthly reports
- Updates Department policy manual
- Types meeting minutes
- Completes special projects
- Creates, organizes, and maintains confidential and administrative files
- Logs, tracks, copies, and forwards responses for correspondence and documentation
- Responsible for maintaining filing
- Collects and distributes all incoming and outgoing staff/Department mail
- Answers, screens, and refers calls appropriately
- Coordinates special events, meetings, and fundraising events
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
- Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules and ADCRR policies
and procedures
- Written and verbal communication
- Grammatical formatting, using concise, specific and correct non-technical language
- Computer usage and various software programs (Microsoft Office and Google Suite)
- Techniques in screening incoming calls, visitors, and telephone calls

Skill in:
- Problem-solving and time management
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships
- Tact in dealing with the public and staff both in-person and via telephone
- Handling multiple tasks
- Working within a team
- Self-motivation and working under minimal supervision

Ability to:
- Provide effective assistance to employees

Selective Preference(s):

- Two (2) years of professional office experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office &
Google Suite

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation, drug test.

In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required drive
