Data Science Director, Monetization Ranking AI

We are looking for a seasoned analytics leader who is passionate about analytics for large scale ML systems to drive data-informed decisions for the Monetization Ranking AI team and help shape the long term strategic direction of Monetization Ranking system and technology.

You will partner with Engineering and Product teams that build and grow our hardware and software products for the future of Meta, to guide the strategic direction for one of the largest-scale ML development systems in the world. You will be focused on results, be proactive, deliver rigorous analyses, and use data to drive change in products, strategies, and organizations. The ideal candidate has experience with large-scale AI development and measurement and data product background, and is excited about cutting edge AI development.

The Monetization Ranking AI system leverages state-of-the-art Machine Learning in our quest to make every ad impression meaningful. The team is at the heart of the Meta ads system, driving Meta’s advertising quality and revenue.Data Science Director, Monetization Ranking AI Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute strategy and investment decisions for the Ads AI Development systems.
• Contribute to long-term technical vision and strategy methods and metrics that will improve the quality and efficiency of Ads AI development Infrastructure at scale, in the face of changing data availability.
• Work with engineering and other data scientists to build and improve AI development, AI automation, experimentation and measurement methods and metrics, ensuring high-quality throughput and impact.
• Develop understanding of complex and large scale AI development, experimentation and measurement system, as well as broader industry challenges, to identify present and future risks and opportunities.
• Inspire, lead and grow a team of data scientists and managers across multiple teams..

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in a quantitative discipline (e.g., AI, statistics, operations research, econometrics, computer science, engineering) with 10+ years (or PhD with 8+ years).
• 10+ years of work experience managing analytics teams, working collaboratively with Engineering and cross-functional partners, and guiding data-influenced product planning, prioritization and strategy development.
• Demonstrated experience in hiring, retaining and scaling diverse, geographically dispersed, high-performing teams.
• Intellectual curiosity and drive, decisiveness, with ambiguity and complexity.
• Experience to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large scale AI platforms and/or AI development
