Summary
The Learning & Development Manager plays a key role in driving a high-performance culture by creating meaningful development experiences that cultivate exceptional talent. The L&D Manager will lead a team of learning & development professionals to drive development in a transformational utility environment. Reporting to the Director, Talent Development, this role is responsible for designing, developing and implementing development strategies, as well as programs and solutions that will enhance talent across the organization. As a member of the Talent Development team, you will have the opportunity to bring the best learning and development practices to life for our leaders and teams.
What You'll Do
- Define, develop, implement, and evaluate talent development initiatives that support leadership development, career development, learning opportunities/solutions, and tracking of critical learning and development KPIs.
- Measure the impact of the learning & development solutions through quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Coach team members, provide regular feedback on performance expectations, set goals for team and tie development plans to close organizational skills gaps.
- Review existing L&D learning and development programs; recommend enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention, or to meet the changing needs of he organization.
- Lead needs assessments across business units and, functions, as well as management levels to identify skills gaps, and informs development priorities.
- Provide leadership, development, and oversight for policies, methodologies, and practices around career growth and development.
- Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to define and establish L&D plans.
- Collaborate with HR and operations leaders regularly to understand business objectives, talent needs and improvements required to support SRP’s talent strategy, employee engagement and effectiveness.
- Research internal data and industry best practices on emerging capabilities required for the future workplace. Appropriately challenge traditional practices and identify innovative solutions which meet evolving business/industry demands.
- Accountable for managing department budget and external vendors relationships and partnerships to ensure they meet/exceed service level agreements.

- Strong organizational/planning and project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and high attention to detail.
