As a Business Management Summer Associate, you will have the unique opportunity to apply creativity to analyze key business operations, recommend innovative solutions and partner with leaders to plan implementation. This role supports our American Funds (AF) Service Group’s Shareholder Services (SHSV) team which is passionate about providing best-in-class customer service.

• You’ll work collaboratively with a high impact team to uncover and recommend process improvements and solutions to some of the most important and complex issues we face in servicing our clients.
• You’ll work with key business stakeholders including the project office, training & development, and workforce management to deliver project-based outcomes.
• You’ll create business communications and business resources in support of key change initiatives.
• You’ll explore opportunities for continuous improvement with talented colleagues and be guided by experienced leaders.
• You’ll build relationships with colleagues and business leaders across the organization.

• You are a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related focus with an expected graduation date of Spring 2026 (current sophomore standing).
• You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• You are passionate about analyzing business operations, from both a qualitative and quantitative lens.
• You are interested in optimizing the client service experience.
• You are excited about developing creative solutions to business challenges.
• You are a creative problem-solver with demonstrated intellectual curiosity.
• You communicate effectively.
• You are proficient in the full Microsoft Suite (e.g., Windows 10, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel)

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
