Maxar Space is seeking a People Operations & Program Manager to provide strategic expertise and consultation in key areas of operations, learning and development, program management and execution. This position is based out of our Palo Alto, CA location, and may also be performed remotely, within the U.S. You will lead projects from concept to implementation while partnering with key stakeholders to ensure success. This is a high-impact role where you will play a pivotal part in shaping our people strategy and enabling the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management:
Own the performance management processes, including goal setting, quarterly check-ins, engagement surveys and calibration activities.
Establish and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
Collaborate with senior management and executives on initiatives that impact multiple functional areas, divisions, and stakeholders.
HR Operations
This role will manage an HR generalist who supports HR and TA operations activities.
Overseeing and responding to unemployment claims
Supporting required compliance initiatives including audits, data pulls and postings
Talent Development and Succession Planning:
Oversee the end-to-end succession planning process to ensure readiness for key roles and identify career growth opportunities for high potential, high performing employees.
Partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to design and implement talent development initiatives, individual development plans and career pathing.
Organizational Development:
Act as the HR subject matter expert to design, facilitate, and lead organizational development programs that align with business objectives.
Develop and implement methods to evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
Workforce Analytics:
Analyze workforce data to identify trends and insights that inform and drive organizational objectives.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant human resources experience in a diverse business environment
Additional qualifications
Proven experience in performance management, employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
Experience analyzing workforce data and applying insights to drive strategic decisions.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
