Coatings Complex Supervisor

Basic Job Functions:

Experience in operation and management of hot dip galvanizing lines in the steel industry. Work with the Coating Complex as well as plant wide leadership team to achieve zero injuries, coach and develop the team, continuously improve the process, and achieve commercial excellence, while taking care of customers. Start-up and commissioning experience for continuous galvanize lines producing GI and AZ55 products for construction market. Project management and leadership experience in the following flat rolled steel processes: Pickling, Cold Rolling, Galvanizing, and continuous paint line. Responsible for motivating teammates, defining expectations, and ensuring those expectations are met. Responsible for communicating the goals of the department and developing a plan to achieve those goals. Oversee the application of protective coatings to steel structures including AZ55 (Galvalume) coatings, ensuring quality, safety and adherence to project specifications. Manage the production of coated products in accordance with ISO-9000/ISO-14000/ISO-18000 standards. Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have five (5) years of experience in operation and management of hot dip galvanizing lines in the steel industry. Experience must include: Start-up and commissioning experience for continuous galvanize lines producing GI and AZ55 products for construction market. Project management and leadership experience in the following flat rolled steel processes: Pickling, Cold Rolling, Galvanizing, and continuous paint line. Overseeing the application of protective coatings to steel structures including AZ55 (Galvalume) coatings, ensuring quality, safety and adherence to project specifications. Managing the production of coated products in accordance with ISO-9000/ISO-14000/ISO-18000 standards.
