Responsibilities

Dallas Regional Medical Center is looking for a full time, day shift Certified Operating Room/Surgical Tech who is empathetic and has good communication skills. We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more.  Our Certified Scrub Tech duties include, but are not limited to:

• responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure
• maintaining sterile field during case
• providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures
• able to work well under stressful and emergency situations
• able to act quickly and accurately
• proficient in the following surgical specialties: General Surgery, Urology, Eyes (cataracts), GYN, and Hand specialty
• demonstrates skill in: basic spine procedures (Laminectomies) and complicated spinal fusion (including 360 fusions); Sports Medicine; complicated Ortho: Total Joints, Joint Revisions, ACL replacement, Rotator Cuff repairs, Revision Knee, Hip, Shoulder surgeries, and Total Ankle and Femur Replacements
• demonstrate independent practice in the role of primary scrub technician and hold a current CST to be considered for Certified Scrub Tech III

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Certification upon hire required and maintained for employment; OR, employment as a Surg Tech since 2009
• expert in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties: General, Urology, Eye (cataracts), Gynecology, and Hand Specialty
• demonstrates skill in: basic spine procedures (Laminectomies) and complicated spinal fusion (including 360 fusions); Sports Medicine; complicated Ortho
• current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
