About the role

Role Summary

The Continuity of Business Coordinator will act as a Lead Business Recovery Coordinator (LBRC), reporting to the Treasury Chief Admin Office, and will support Treasury in the implementation and execution of the Enterprise Resilience (ER) Policy and Standard as they relate to Business Continuity Management. The LBRC manages and maintains the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Business Impact Assessment (BIA) for various Treasury Business Lines. The LBRC works with Treasury and other Finance stakeholders to ensure the validation, planning, and testing for business processes; manages escalations of potential issues and Quality Review gaps; tracks remediation to completion. In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for adhering to the Enterprise Resilience – Operational Resilience framework which includes the Critical Business Service (CBS) framework. This role emphasizes strong execution, data analysis, and clear communication of complex information in a digestible format for senior management, contributing to the successful business & disaster recovery of the Firm during stress or operational disruptions, and supporting related regulatory and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Lead Business Recovery Coordinator within Treasury providing support and oversight of multiple BCPs and BIAs.
  • Manage the implementation of the Enterprise Resilience policy and standard requirements and other CoB program elements, including documentation of BCPs and BIAs and execution of annual CoB testing.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination for the entire testing process before, during, and after the testing life cycle.
  • Complete all pre-test and post-test deliverables for Business Testing in Fusion.
  • Validate post test results including evidence review.
  • Support the OpsRes – CBS framework for Treasury’s Critical Business Services (e.g.: Capital Management, Liquidity Management) by developing Impact Tolerance Statement, coordinating Scenario Testing, completing Vulnerability and Annual CBS Self-Assessment.
  • Address and remediate any potential Quality Review gaps within the required timeframe.
  • Must be able to work closely with senior business leaders and process owners to promote consensus on decisions that are right for the organization.
  • Support the Enterprise Entitlement Review System (EERS) process for Treasury, including assisting senior managers with entitlement reviews and enhancing processes to improve control frameworks.
  • Maintain and monitor shared drive usage, ensuring compliance with information security policies and supporting remediation efforts.
  • Help identify potential areas of vulnerability for management.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. Master's degree or additional finance-focused education/certification is beneficial.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in business continuity management, operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry. Continuity of Business background strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with financial resilience and operational continuity concepts, including recovery and resolution planning, and business continuity planning frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to articulate complex problems and solutions concisely, make effective presentations, and build strong relationships with internal partners.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to explain complex concepts in simple, digestible terms.
  • Ability to independently manage work and coordinate multiple deliverables concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Fusion is preferred.
  • Experience in Audit (external/internal), Compliance, or prior Controls function preferred
  • Able to implement requirements in daily deliverables based on Citi’s Policies, Standards, and Procedures.
