Your role at Baxter
- The Associate Director, EHS&S will directly lead the areas of environmental, health, safety, and sustainability of the Round Lake, IL's Pharmaceutical Manufacturing site. #Thisiswhere you'll make an impact on patients globally!
- Own the development and deployment of strategy, policies, plans, and procedures for an EHS&S department.
- Ensure all facilities align with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and fulfill all division and Baxter EHS&S objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability of penicillin and non-penicillin beta lactam antibacterial compounds, potent drug compounds, corrosive substances, and acids/bases in manufacturing and laboratory settings.
- Significant contributor to the creation and deployment of the site's EHS&S strategy; prioritizes and leads resources to achieve strategy objectives.
- Lead professionals and/or project teams to implement, handle, and/or ensure compliance for Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability and/or Industrial Hygiene compliance programs and Baxter policies.
- Provide information and direction to site management in identifying problems and components that could potentially threaten our business or result in legal action against our organization or its officers.
- Serve as the governance/assurance lead across the entire Pharmaceutical Global Business segment.
What you'll bring
- B.S. Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or related field required; M.S. Degree in Environmental or Safety Engineering or Technology preferred.
- 10+ years of related experience, which should include 5+ years of people management experience.
- Professional certifications preferred (PE, CIH, CSP, etc.)
- Must be conversant in applicable EHS&S regulations and able to understand GMPs and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 - $198,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
