DNV USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Surveyor/Auditor (multiple openings) to work at our office in Seattle, WA.
Job Duties:
Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the Rules, Regulations, Instructions, Guidelines and quality requirements of the organization and the instructions of the line management. Maintain the confidentiality of Clients’ business, processes, designs, developments, and documentation at all times. When applicable, to supervise the work of others and ensure that it is carried out as above and in an efficient and economic manner. Communicate to line management at the earliest appropriate opportunity if in the receipt of information that is important to the reputation or the integrity of the organization. Exhibit customer-oriented focus through promoting DNV onboard or on-site, and by acting as a technical resource for customer questions. This position requires 15% domestic, 5% international travel. Role is hybrid as projects permit within a reasonable commuting distance of the Seattle, WA office.
Salary range: $154,427.26-$154,500/year

Main Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Nautical Engineering, Marine Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field and eight (8) years of experience as (all levels): Marine Engineer/Surveyor, Marine Surveyor/Auditor, Surveyor/Auditor, Marine Auditor, Marine Surveyor, Surveyor, Surveyor/Engineer, Marine Engineer, Technical Officer, Naval Architect or related role where required experience gained.
Special Skills: Also requires eight (8) years of experience in the following:
- Inspection of ships in service and in dry dock;
- International codes and conventions;
- Statutory surveys on behalf of Flag Administrations on Offshore Service Vessels, Dry Cargo Vessels, Oil and Chemical Tankers and Liquified Gas Tankers;
- Compliance with operating standards and vessel safety standards;
- Working on major vessel conversions, alterations, or any technical matters involving all type of vessels; and
- Training and mentoring to junior colleagues.
