Summary:

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, you will play a key role in shaping our firm’s growth and reputation. Your expertise will guide strategic decision-making through in-depth market analysis, competitive intelligence, and targeted business development initiatives. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and identify new business opportunities to support practice groups and industry teams. 
  • Develop detailed intelligence reports on clients, prospects, market trends, and industry developments to inform growth strategies. 
  • Monitor legal markets, target industries, and competitor activity, providing actionable insights. 
  • Support data-driven marketing and business development initiatives by leveraging internal and external resources. 
  • Lead data entry and management in the firm’s CRM and experience databases, ensuring accuracy and systematic reporting. 
  • Assist in preparing compelling RFPs, proposals, and presentations aligned with firm priorities. 
  • Collaborate with team members to refine pitch materials and enhance internal processes for maximum efficiency. 
  • Analyze pitch and proposal outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Develop marketing collateral and produce high-impact submissions for legal rankings and awards. 
  • Work closely with attorneys and practice leaders to execute business development strategies. 
  • Proactively recommend new opportunities and creative outreach approaches based on research insights. 
  • Manage and track outreach activities within the firm’s CRM system to ensure engagement success. 
  • Provide crucial support during busy periods to meet deadlines and maintain workflow continuity. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience in marketing, business development, or research/analytics. 
  • Prior experience in a professional services environment (law firm, accounting, consulting) preferred. 
  • Skilled in professional writing, proofreading, and editing. 
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Familiarity with tools such as Nexl, Foundations, Bloomberg Law, and Dunn & Bradstreet are a plus.
