The Role

Addepar owns and operates multiple applications, and the purpose of the Investor Persona team is to unify and integrate these products seamlessly so that investors can implement their entire workflow within the Addepar realm. The Investor Persona owns multiple apps including Marketplace, a tool facilitating the buying and selling of private company shares and providing insight into the private equity market, Dashboards, a tool providing cumulative analytics of clients’ investment data, and Navigator, a projection tool that provides forward looking portfolio planning and modeling.

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our Investor Persona team, which is primarily responsible for the Navigator application. Responsibilities will also include participating in integration efforts between Navigator and the core application as well integrating other applications within the Investor Persona platform.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $125,000 - $195,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do

Our team operates in a fast-paced, client-centric environment, built on a collaborative product development process that involves the intersection of our sales, product, marketing, design, and engineering groups. As a software engineer, you will be involved with every step of this process, with the most heavyweight contribution being in the aspects of design and implementation of the technical specification and operation of the software platform that powers our Navigator business. You will also take part in driving the initiatives of the Investor Persona team, such as integrating Addepar applications and unifying our products into a more cohesive whole.

Who You Are

We specifically look for driven engineers with real technical depth and a desire to understand the end business, and we want people who are passionate and care deeply about the success of their team.

We use React and primarily code in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and SCSS - we’re looking for team members that bring a level of existing experience with at least some of these technologies.

Additionally, the following attributes are standout characteristics of good candidates:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field
• At least 3+ years of React experience, ideally enough experience to have worked in both older and newer versions
• Proven experience as a professional software engineer, passionate about frontend-oriented systems
• Prior experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and/or SCSS
• Hands-on experience with the entire software development lifecycle, from specification to production and finally deprecation
• Familiarity with a cloud-hosted, services-based software model
• Prior experience working in an agile team that uses lightweight project management techniques (i.e. sprints, quarterly goals and achievements, etc.)
• Ambitious mentality with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced growth company, where requirements and prioritizations evolve over time based on the needs of the business
• Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion
• Proven ability to collaborate within a tight-knit, multi-functional team
