Description
The College of Nursing at the University of Iowa is seeking a Graduate Program Manager. This position administers and provides operational oversight for the Graduate Programs at the College of Nursing. This person would be responsible for coordinating student‑focused services that support recruitment, retention, progression, and student success across graduate programs.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Academic Program Management
- Direct, plan, and oversee the day-day operations and activities of the Graduate Programs
- Collect, manage, and maintain program evaluation data to ensure it is accessible and usable for decision making by the Associate Dean for Graduate Practice Programs (ADGPP) and program directors.
- Represent the College of Nursing to the University of Iowa, stakeholders, community partners, and collaborators as needed
- Develop assessment processes for programs designed to support Graduate Programs
- Serve as a point of contact for coordinating student progression issues and academic warning letters
- Serve as a liaison to Division Heads and Associate Dean
Enrollment Management
- In collaboration with ADGPP and program directors, oversee strategic planning for and implementation of enrollment management for Graduate Programs
- Collaborate with directors on curricular and demographic trends
Academic Standards and Curricular Policies
- Interpret, implement, and ensure compliance with university academic and administrative policies and procedures
- Coordinate transcript and program verification requests
Communication and Outreach
- Serve as liaison to Graduation Services regarding commencement ceremonies and degree conferral
- Liaison with Office of Student Financial Aid, Office of the Registrar and Student Disability Services and Graduate College
- Build and foster key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Budget Oversight and Management
- Coordinate with program directors, the NCEC, and the College of Nursing finance team to support course fee planning and simulation resource allocation.
- In collaboration with ADGPP, monitor the financial planning and management of the program including but not limited to creating budgets, authorizing expenditures, and advocating for funding to meet retention program goals.
