Summary

Manager Information Technology - Planning & Portfolio Health -  Leads and coaches’ staff within the Planning & Portfolio Health group. This Manager will plan and direct strategic, administrative, and financial functions for the IT project portfolio as well as support Senior Leadership with ad-hoc analysis to further help the larger organization make optimal financial decisions and continue anchoring the Financial Discipline culture across the IT Organization.

What your day would be like:

You are responsible for:

• Drive and support short- and long-term planning activities which includes coordinating and facilitating prioritization efforts for annual Capital budgeting, while at the same time establishing a culture of trust and collaboration with internal IT customers and Business customers across the larger organization.
• Primary accountability for the management and reporting of project financials for IT capital portfolio executed by the IT Project Management Office (PMO) as well as anchoring Financial Discipline across the broader IT Organization through Month End Close activities relating to other areas of significant spend.
• Partners with Finance & Business Operations (FBO) and Accounting to help provide oversight, guidance and governance to the organization relating to following accounting guidelines and policies.
• Develop and report appropriate metrics such that project forecasts can be tracked and acted upon by leadership.
• Leads and develops individuals and teams by using people management processes and tools that involve staffing, training, supervising, coaching, and performance management to achieve optimal performance.

Minimum Requirements

Manager Information Technology - Planning & Portfolio Health

• BS in Computer Science, Business or related degree or equivalent work experience.
• Eight to Ten (8-10) years progressively responsible related experience in area/s of assignment is required to obtain an advanced understanding of information and/or communication systems, operating systems, network communications, equipment and infrastructure.  
• Demonstrated leadership skills required.  
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.  
• Demonstrated high quality oral, written and presentation communication skills, high quality interpersonal and people management skills, and demonstrated experience in project management.  
• Extensive experience in the development, integration, and support of information and communication systems applications, distributed and mainframe environments, network architecture and sub-systems, distributed and mainframe server architectures cross platform interfaces.  
• Extensive experience in information systems methodologies, systems guidelines & architectures, and technologies.    

Major Accountabilities

1. Perform month end close activities on behalf of the IT Organization providing Finance with needed variance explanations, forecasts, and analysis to support the overall company financial requirements.
2. Leads and develops individuals and teams by using people management processes and tools that involve staffing, training, supervising, coaching, and performance management.
3. Develop and provide meaningful analysis supporting the Vendor & Asset Management Office to allow for optimal spend patterns when contracting with third parties or acquiring software licenses.
4. Continue to refine, drive, and facilitate the Annual Budgeting Process for the IT capital project portfolio.  This includes creating materials for sessions, facilitating cross BU ranking sessions and preparing the CIO for collaborative Officer to Officer discussions.
